Today was the release of a new update for the iOS 5 SemiTether Jailbreak. As some may know, this a is a Cydia package that you can download after Tether Jailbreaking an iOS 5 device that will allow you to boot up without a computer. If you happen to ever run out of battery or power off your and you're not near a computer, you're in luck. After installing the newest version of SemiTether, you will be able to power off your tethered device and still have the ability to turn it back on. Turning it back on will cause all of your Cydia tweaks and downloads not to work, but everything native to the device along with 3rd party apps will work. Mail is still a bit buggy but at least we now have Safari fully running after a SemiTethered boot. To revive all of your tweaks and packages, you just simple boot tethered from a computer as you normally would and you are back in the game.
You can download SemiTether from the Big Boss Repo in Cydia for Free. The iOS 5 unthethered Jailbreak should be releasing sometime within the next few weeks. Stay Tuned.

Epic Games announced via his blog today that Unreal Engine 3-powered award-winning hit smash iPad/iPhone game that infinite Blade has a new content pack upgrade, called Arena, available for free download this Thursday, May 19. The huge update will include the much-anticipated Infinity blade multiplayer mode, enter the arena, where you can take the role of a Titan or Knight and battle your friends in multiplayer games online via the game Center. Survivor Mode, where players must survive as long as possible from the relentless hordes of Titan, and the new helms of holidays, with a new bar for each season is also included in the update. More than 24 new magical rings, swords, shields and helmets are also provided by the free update. And finally, integration of Facebook is also introduced through the update, so that you can view your character in your profile and also to take screenshots and share them with your friends.

Stupidly Updated to 4.2.1, and Now Need Clarification
Ok, I won my iPad in a raffle two days ago and immediately plugged it into my MacBook pro, and was prompted to update it 4.2.1. Without thinking i agreed and it updated....
Today, I was going to jailbreak it until I read up on the topic and noticed that the SHSH blobs from 4.1 were necessary for any jailbreak, including the upcoming untethered version. I then proceeded to yell profanities in my room for about an hour until I cooled down.
To get to the point, here's my main question:
Will I ever be able to jailbreak my iPad untethered, even though I do not have the SHSH blobs from 4.1?
