John Paczkowski on All Things D has jumped right in there and kicked off the latest round of iPad rumours now that the iPhone 4S is out, by reporting today that according to Susquehanna Financial analyst Jeff Fidacaro, Apple is about to start increasing its iPad production in the fourth quarter to between 12 and 14 million, up from between 11 and 13 million, and this is not just in order to be prepared for the busy holiday season, it is also due to an early iPad 3 production run. Fidacaro told AllThingsD that Susquehanna has seen 600,000 to one million iPad 3 builds appearing on the plan for Q4 2011, and this has happened since the company?s last monthly supply chain checks, which did not factor in any iPad 3s into the figures. All Things D got their iPhone stories spot on over the past few months, so when Paczkowski says that we may be looking at an early 2012 launch for the iPad 3, possibly March, you know to take it seriously.
