Safari auto delete browser history?

My partner as a 1st generation iPad 16 GB, the firmware is the stock and the more recent: 4.3.3.

The problem is the history of browser (sometimes google search history too) will result in the deletion of itself, it is sporadic may occur twice in as many days or once a week.

This is something that one knows, or is - that just someone manually remove history?
