9to5 Mac reported today it seems that in the beta version iOS 5 which was published Monday, the possibility of choosing to use FaceTime over 3 G has been discovered. However, if you actually get to use on your device more than 3 G, once iOS 5 is officially out will depend on your mobile carrier, in the same manner as tethering and VoIP. As 9to5 Mac notes, the Middle East, for example, carriers got Apple to block FaceTime for them, even on the Wi-Fi-only service. This is not the first time that FaceTime over 3 G has been implemented on an iPhone, but the previous instances have always been on a jailbreaké iPhone. 9to5 Mac actually tested last year, saying that the quality of the experience of FaceTime on AT & T 3 G bad ?wasn?t in all ?.
No word yet on or non-carriers should give additional guidance for the service, but the let?s hope not.
