9to5 Mac reports today that Apple has been recalling last week iPad Verizon 2 s workplace expedition on their way through China and then to send replacements to the client. According to their sources, the iPad 2 s in question are all Verizon devices shipped by FedEX, and they are also all engraved. 9to5 Mac also heard that Apple has given to all its U.S. retail stores a list of serial numbers that they must analyze their iPad 2 for stocks, and if they find an iPad 2 with one of the serial numbers, it will have to send back to Apple. An employee of the store Apple has said that he or she has started scanning Monday, and that all shipments to 11 June should be scanned in the same way. Apparently only that a person had to send about 100 iPad 2 s.
Right now, no one is exactly sure whey the Verizon 2 s iPad are recalled in such large numbers. 9to5 Mac has heard that he doesn?t have something to do with the fact that the iPad 2 s are all engraved, and that the issue is not software. ? specific ?device make source also said that the problem has something to do with the iPad 2 s is not not able of the account information up when their cellular service is enabled.
